February 7, 2014

Dear Green Wave Fans,

Signing Day is almost a national holiday for die-hard college football fans. If you are in that number, you know that your Green Wave attracted a class that Coach CJ says exceeded his expectations and is his best one yet. To get familiar with our newest football student-athletes, visit here.

Today also starts Spring practice! It may be hard to believe that Spring can begin in February, especially because of this unorthodox weather we have had here in New Orleans recently, but I know CJ is ready to get his guys on the field and continue to build this program.

With such a full football slate this week, I want everyone to think, wow...how exciting is it going to be when this team takes Benson Field for the first time as 30,000 of the Green Wave faithful start new traditions in Yulman Stadium.

The Jill H. and Avram A. Glazer Family Club sales continue to be brisk, with less than 25% of the club is still remaining! We are now releasing the second wave of premium seating in Yulman Stadium, Westfeldt Terrace; available to current TAF members at Coach's Corner level or above through the month of February. Beginning March 1, these seats will go on sale for everyone. While we are excited to release this next opportunity for our fans and loyal supporters, there is still seating available in the Jill H. and Avram A. Glazer Family Club. In the Glazer Family Club, you will experience the utmost amenities that Yulman Stadium has to offer. For more information, call 504.314.CLUB.

Westfeldt Terrace, located on the upper level on the home sideline, is a covered, open-air space, offering premium New Orleans cuisine/concessions. As a bonus, this level affords a panoramic vista of the New Orleans skyline in the distance. There are approximately 3,000 chair back seats, all with incredible views of the action. For more details, including 360 degree views from the seats, visit www.YulmanStadium.com.

While reserving a seat guarantees a spot in the Westfeldt Terrace level, actual seating location will be determined in order of Loyalty Points totals. Your personal point totals are being sent to you this week, with instructions on how to proceed if there are discrepancies.

By early April we expect to have finalized most details surrounding next season, including parking and game day hospitality options. At this point we will also release the rest of the stadium for sale. All season ticket holders from 2013 are guaranteed seats, and anyone who has yet to do so can reserve their seat today.

The 2014 football schedule is being finalized and will be released shortly. We will host 6 games on campus, and all 6 will take place at Yulman Stadium, commencing with the official opening of Yulman Stadium vs. old SEC rival, Georgia Tech University, on Saturday, September 6. I can't wait to see you there!

Not to get too far ahead, let's not forget that it is that busy time of year where many sports are in action. The women pulled out a nail biter this week, edging out conference foe North Texas. The men are back in action this weekend (Friday and Sunday) at Fogelman Arena in Devlin Fieldhouse after 3-games on the road.

In the midst of all the football action, Coach Rick Jones also is gearing up for first pitch February 14. To take a look at what Coach Jones has to say about the upcoming season, click here for a recap on baseball media day.

Special thanks to all of you for your continued support of Tulane Athletics.
