On Tulsa and the problems the Golden Hurricane presents to Tulane
"For years, they've been the best team in the conference that, in my opinion, has the best player in the conference that gives them all the confidence they need. When they get in trouble, she can score points. On the other hand, we've had a pretty difficult season. I hope that we will accept the challenge and play our best against a team like this and make it very competitive."
On how important it is to play well down the stretch and earn a spot in the C-USA Volleyball Championship
"It's as important as it gets. To make the tournament, we have to play every game, every set and ever match the best that we can and hope for the best. There is a chance but we have to play our best over these last four matches. Every set can be a difference maker for us."
On the overall health of his team
"Cori is back, but Mel hasn't been practicing for three weeks now. That doesn't help, but at least she's playing in the matches. There's nothing we can really do about it. It's a serious injury, but we just can't afford to practice her and she's just playing games for us."
On the Green Wave's current line-up
"Originally, the idea was to have Grace play libero from start to finish for us this season. We were not happy with the way our outsides were playing, and at that point Grace was our best outside. We had to play her there and that disrupted our libero position. We're at a point now where some people have stepped it up on the outside, Grace is getting more comfortable at libero, and we're going to stick with the lineup and try and develop it for next year."
