So I know that it may make me sound like a bit of a spoiled brat, but I'm writing this from my huge hotel room that I'm sharing with Luna at the Mission Inn in Pismo Beach, California, complete with granite countertops, a flat screen, thousand-count thread sheets, and everything else you're imagining right now. I was a bit skeptical at first about the location, as we Southern Californians prefer to remain in the southern part of the state, but so far it's turned out to be great.

Upon arrival from Utah, we rented three 15-passenger vans and began our caravan journey up to the central coast. We started with a quick respite at my house, which was awesome. My family had apparently made some changes around the house since my last visit, so I was just as curious about the place as the rest of the team. I joined in with the "oohs" and "aahs" in many of the rooms... especially my new one. Nicely done, fam.

After a little rest and hospitality, we continued on to begin our three and a half hour drive up the coast. I wonder what all those other drivers on the road thought as they saw three huge white vans hurtling past them, looking as if any large bounce might cause the doors to burst from the pressure and spew girls, luggage, and snacks onto the pavement. However, that luckily never happened, and we all made it here just in time to change quickly and get back on the road to drive the fifteen minutes to our first practice.

Practices so far have been intense to an extreme degree, but really, what else can you expect when you lose two games in one weekend? We're able to practice in the gym that we're going to play in this weekend, though, which is a huge advantage -it'll feel just like home by Friday. We're looking forward to some new challenges and are excited about the weekend.

Wish us luck in our tournament and also in any homework that we have forgotten or neglected!! Oh, and make sure you show up for our home tournament the 12th and 13th (is that already next weekend?? Crazy).
