Tulane Volleyball Rolls Past Nichols State, 3-0

NEW ORLEANS, -- The Tulane (8-6) volleyball team, led by Erin Dobyanski's match high 14 kills, swept Nicholls State (2-11) 3-0 on Tuesday evening. The game scores were 15-8, 15-8, 15-12.

The Green Wave out hit the Colonels .310 to .143 en route to the victory. Tulane remains undefeated against in-state opponents.

Freshman Kim Swafford had a flawless performance recording 11 kills in 20 attempts with no errors. She hit .550 on the match and recorded a match high four block assists.

Tulane's Dobyanski posted 11 digs to go along with her 14 kills. Freshman Karlyn Daly had a career and match high 14 digs, while senior Ashley Reese had a season high seven kills. Freshman Kari Dickson notched a career high nine assists.

For the Colonels, Shanda Johnson turned in 11 kills and Be'Atrice McFarland recorded 10 digs.

Tulane returns to Conference USA action on Friday, Sept. 29 as they host Memphis at 7 p.m. On Saturday, Sept. 30 the Wave hosts UAB at 7 p.m. Both matches are scheduled to be played in Fogelman Arena.
