Tulane Volleyball Falls to No. 15 Wisconsin 3-0

NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Tulane (5-1) volleyball team was handed its first loss of the season by No. 15 Wisconsin 3-0 (15-7, 15-8, 15-4).

Jenny Maastricht led the Badger (5-1) attack on the Wave as she put down a match high 18 kills. Coupled with Sherisa Livingston's 12 kills, the duo recorded 30 of Wisconsin's 50 kills. The Badgers out hit the Wave .271 to .000.

Kim Sentmore led the Green Wave 12 kills and eight digs. Freshmen Kim Swafford and Lauren Jones-McClain recorded four kills each.

In early action in the Nokia Sugar Bowl Classic LSU defeated UNO 3-1 (15-3, 14-16, 15-9, 15-11). Jennifer Hampton had a team high 18 kills, While UNO's Jessica Perdue had a match high 23 kills.

Tulane travels to Texas on Sept. 15 for the TCU Invitational. The Wave takes on Montana State on Friday at 10 a.m. Tulane also plays Cal-State Fullerton, San Francisco and host school TCU.
