YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Tulane's volleyball program extended their season-opening winning streak to five matches, as they defeated Toledo during their first match of the YSU Invitational in Youngstown, Ohio, on Friday morning.
Tulane dropped the first set, 26-24, but rallied to win the next three, 25-21, 25-17 and 28-26 to earn the victory. Tulane freshman Tea Juric led the team in kills with 26, while junior Grace Weaver paced Green Wave with 27 digs. Freshman Sarah Strasner's five solo blocks were just ahead of junior Anna Wruck's four, while the team posted a total of 18 block assists and one solo block.
Weaver, Juric and freshman Annie Shurtz recorded one service ace each.
