Richie Weaver

Richie Weaver is in his ninth year in the Tulane Athletic Communications Office where he serves as the primary contact for volleyball, swimming and diving, and women's tennis.

Weaver has also spent time as the Green Wave's baseball contact and still serves as a secondary contact for football and helps coordinate the press box during the Allstate Sugar Bowl and R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl. When not busy with his athletics duties, Weaver is an active member of the Boy Scouts of America where he serves on the Aquatics Committee of the Southeast Louisiana Council.

Prior to joining the Tulane staff, Weaver also worked at Jacksonville University, Troy State and Louisiana-Monroe. A 1998 graduate of Nicholls State University with a bachelor's degree in mass communication, Weaver worked in the Colonel sports information office as an undergraduate, and was named Who's Who Among American Colleges and Universities.

A native of Meraux, La., Weaver is a member of The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association, College Sports Information Directors of America and the National Football Writers Association of American.
