Justine Stremick joins the Tulane volleyball program as the graduate assistant coach for the 2010 season, after a decorated playing career at Notre Dame.
Stremick was a three-time All-BIG EAST selection as a middle Blocker for the Irish, while also earning CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District honors during each of those seasons. Her progression from year-to-year watched her earn third team academic honors as a sophomore, second team honors as a junior and third team academic all-district honors as a senior. She was a second team All-BIG EAST pick in each of her final three seasons.
Starting at middle blocker in nearly every set from 2006-09, Stremick left the Notre Dame campus ranking fourth in career hitting percentage (.307), seventh in total blocks (437), seventh in solo blocks (92) and eighth in blocking assists (345).
While at Landon Area High School, Stremick was named the North Dakota Gatorade Volleyball Player of the Year as a senior. She was picked as the North Dakota Class B Co-Player of the Year, sharing the award with her sister, Briana. As a junior, she helped Langdon Area to an undefeated season and the NDHSAA State Championship. While playing for the Cardinal, Stremick helped the squad to an 88-match winning streak.
Stremick is enrolled at Tulane School of Medicine after earning her Bachelor of Science from Notre Dame in 2008.
