The lone senior on the Green Wave women's tennis team, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., native Julie Morris will lead the Tulane squad into action this weekend when they host the 2002 Green Wave Classic at Goldring Stadium. A three-year letterwinner, Morris has been one of the Green Wave's top singles players over the past two seasons. Last season, she earned first-team All-Louisiana, second-team All-Conference USA and Team MVP honors after posting a 14-9 mark, including a 12-8 mark in the spring. In doubles action, she teamed with Ana Saaibi and Lucy Wood to compile an impressive 16-5 record as the No. 2 pairs team. In the 2002-03 preseason poll, Morris claimed the No. 66 spot in Rolex/ITA Collegiate rankings. A success off the court as well, Morris was named ITA Scholar-Athlete All-American as a junior and is a two-time member of the

Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll.
