NEW ORLEANS- The Tulane women's tennis team returns to action this weekend and will compete against the top teams in its region as the Green Wave treks to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) Southern Regionals at the Yarbrough Tennis Center on the campus of Auburn University in Auburn, Ala.
The event will run from Friday, Oct. 18 through Monday, Oct. 21. Play will begin on Friday, beginning with doubles at 8 a.m. Each day's play will begin at 8 a.m. until the final day (Oct. 21), which will start at 10 a.m.
The participating teams will be Alabama, Auburn, UL-Monroe, LSU, Louisiana Tech, McNeese State, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Nicholls State, Samford, South Alabama, Troy, Tulane and UAB.
"Regionals are always one of the highlights of the fall as far as tournaments go," Tulane head coach Terri Sisk said. "Our region is definitely very tough due to the number of talented teams involved, as several of them are top 30 SEC schools. However, our girls are excited and ready to play and I honestly expect great things as our fall is going really well and the team is improving daily."
