Tulane's Kessler Named C-USA Tennis Athlete of the Week

CHICAGO - Tulane women's tennis player Jessica Kessler was named Conference USA Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week, the league announced Wednesday.
Kessler, a senior from Studio City, California, won all three of her singles matches to improve her spring record to 13-3. Two of her matches came against 14th-ranked South Alabama's Marcela Kotesovcova and No. 30 Kentucky's Lauren Rookledge.
It is the first time Kessler has earned C-USA Athlete of the Week honors.
Kessler has won her last six matches and ten of her last eleven overall. Kessler and the rest of the women's tennis team will next be in action Friday, March 31, at the Goldring Tennis Complex. The match is scheduled to begin at noon.
