New Orleans - The Tulane women's tennis team concludes a four-match road swing this weekend with a pair of matches in Colorado against the University of Colorado and the University of Wyoming. The Green Wave will face the Buffaloes on Friday, March 28 at 12 p.m. CST and the Cowgirls on Saturday, March 29 at 11 a.m. CST. Both contests will take place at the Rocky Mountain Tennis Center in Boulder.
The Green Wave (4-15) opened its current road swing with a pair of heartbreaking, 4-3, losses to both UMass and the College of Charleston last weekend in Charleston, S.C. Tulane is in search of its first true road win this season and will look to conclude the road trip with a pair of wins as the regular season begins to wind down.
"We talk quite a bit about playing in diverse situations and how we will handle them as a team," Tulane head coach Terri Sisk said. "The great part of this equation is we are going to be playing in a completely different altitude and still one player short, so this will be our time to really execute and respond to both of these situations.
"I believe this team knows what we are capable of and how dangerous we can really be, so we will once again go out there and leave it all on the court. We have two great opportunities this weekend and we will be tested yet again but through everything we have experienced this year, we can handle this."
Colorado (7-10) enters its match-up with Tulane mired in a six-match skid, but sports a 6-5 record on its home courts this season. The Green Wave will mark the Buffaloes final home match of the spring and also closes out a five-match home stand. The Buffs are coming off a 7-0 loss at home to No. 4 Stanford last Monday.
Wyoming (5-6) suffered a 5-2 setback against UC Irvine last Saturday and is 2-6 this season away from home. The Cowgirls are 1-4 in their last five outings.
