New Orleans - Tulane's women's tennis team will conclude its two-match road swing on the West Coast this Sunday, Feb. 9 at 12:30 p.m. (CST) against No. 54 St. Mary's at the Korth Tennis Complex in Moraga, Calif.
The Green Wave (4-9) is coming off a 5-2 loss at No. 57 Long Beach State this past Thursday and will look to pick up its first road win of the season and first victory over a nationally-ranked opponent this spring.
TU's 62nd-ranked senior Klara Vyskocilova will look to continue her dominating play on Sunday against the Gaels. Vyskocilova boasts a 15-6 overall record, including a perfect dual mark of 8-0 this spring, and has won her last 10 contests dating back to last fall.
"We are most definitely looking forward to playing yet another solid nationally ranked program," Tulane head coach Terri Sisk said. "This will be another challenge for us but one that I know this team is up for. We have battled so many great teams to the wire this year and tomorrow will be the same. We are learning lots of great lessons this year that will pay dividends for our very bright future."
St. Mary's is 4-5 overall and is coming off a 4-3 upset win over No. 30 Texas Tech in its home opener on Friday.
