New Orleans - The Tulane women's tennis team returns home this Saturday at 10 a.m. to face St. John's in a non-conference tilt at the City Park Pepsi Center. There is no charge for attendance and free tailgating will be available for fans prior to the match.

The Green Wave (3-8) returns to its home courts after spending last weekend at the Blue-Gray National Tennis Classic, where it played three of the nation's Top-50 programs. In fact, the Wave's last five opponents have each been ranked among the Top-60 teams in the country. TU is 3-4 at home this season and will look to get back to .500 on the year with a win on Saturday.

"After being on the road for some time, we are happy to compete at home again," Tulane head coach Terri Sisk said. "We know that St John's is riding a nice win streak and will definitely bring that momentum to us. We also realize that even though we haven't been technically winning on the schedule, we know that playing all of these teams this year is preparing us for the rest of the schedule and truly showing us that we can compete with anyone in the country when we are dialed in and focused on that task."

Tulane's line-up features 62nd-ranked Klara Vyskocilova, boasts a 13-6 overall record, including a perfect dual mark of 6-0, and has won her last eight contests dating back to last season.

Over the last three weeks, Vyskocilova has pulled off an upset of one of the Top-100 players in the nation. After stunning Auburn's 21st-ranked Pleun Bergmans on Feb. 14, Vyskocilova upended Yale's 97th-ranked Madeleine Hamilton, 6-2, 5-7, 1-0 (11) on Feb. 23.

Junior Emily Dvorak and sophomore Meredith Maltby lead the team in doubles victories this season with a 9-6 record.

St. John's is 5-1 overall, including 2-1 on the road, this season, and brings a four-match win streak to the Crescent City during the Mardi Gras holiday.

The Green Wave women's tennis team will play all of its home matches this spring at the City Park Pepsi Center.
