New Orleans - The 66th-ranked Tulane women's tennis team returns to action this Sunday when it closes out a five-match home stand against No. 59 South Florida at the City Park Pepsi Center. There is no charge for admission to the match and free tailgating will be available to fans starting at 11 a.m.

Tulane is 3-4 overall this season and is coming off hard fought 4-2 loss to No. 20 Auburn on Friday. The Green Wave is 3-2 on its home courts this season and will face off against the Bulls for the second straight season. Last year, the Green Wave claimed a 5-2 win over South Florida in Tampa. Fla. The two teams will become conference rivals next season when Tulane joins the American Athletic Conference on July, 1, 2014.

"After our match with Auburn yesterday, it was apparent to the team that they are capable of competing with anyone if they continue to fight and execute," Tulane head coach Terri Sisk said. "We had a very solid, intense practice today and we are ready to go again tomorrow against another team that we have to bring our "A" game. We had a battle with them last year and fully expect another one tomorrow."

Senior Klara Vyskocilova continues to prove that she is one of the best players in the country. Vyskocilova leads the Wave with an 11-6 overall singles record, is undefeated in dual contests with a 4-0 mark and enters the USF match riding a six-match win streak dating back to the fall season. She is coming off a three-set upset win over Auburn's No. 21-ranked Pleun Bergmans on Friday.

In doubles, Vyskocilova and sophomore Jacqui Katz are 5-1 overall and 3-0 in dual contests at the top spot.

The Green Wave women's tennis team will play all of its home matches this spring at the City Park Pepsi Center. The City Park Pepsi Tennis Center features 16 hard and 10 clay courts, a clubhouse with a pro shop, restrooms, showers and a meeting room. The facility is located off Marconi Blvd. between I-610 and Harrison Avenue. For more information on City Park Pepsi Center, please visit http://www.neworleanscitypark.com/tennis.html.
