NEW ORLEANS - Tulane senior Emma Levy won two singles matches on Sunday and advanced into the finals of Flight A Consolation bracket, while freshman Jacqui Katz completed her run through the Flight B Singles Consolation bracket by claiming the flight title today at the 2012 Southern Regionals at the Alabama Tennis Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Levy opened the quarterfinal round with a win over UAB's Isabel Fernandez, 6-1, 6-1, and then dispatched her second UAB opponent of the day with a, 6-1, 6-3, victory over Rachel Daniel in the semifinal round.
Levy will take on Auburn's Ashley Kitchen in Monday's finals at 8 a.m.
Katz wrapped up her second title of the fall with a three-set victory over Menanteau Moolman, 2-6, 6-0, 10-7.
Tulane's senior duo and fourth seed of Caroline Magnusson and Caroline Thornton saw their run in the main draw doubles come to an end in the quarterfinals with an 8-6 loss to Alabama's top-seeded Alexa Guarachi and Mary Anne Macfarlane.
TU junior and third-seeded Klara Vyskocilova fell to Alabama's Natalia Maynetto in the quarterfinal round of main draw singles, 7-6(3), 6-3.
