Tempe, AZ - The Arizona State Women's Tennis Team suffered yet another close loss Saturday afternoon while facing the No. 21 Green Wave of Tulane (15-1) at Tempe's Whiteman Tennis Center.
The Devils were unable to get anything rolling early as Tulane swept all three doubles matches and secured the doubles point quickly.
ASU fought back well in singles with junior, Joslynn Burkett taking a key win over Maria Ivanov in a 6-3, 6-3 victory for the Devils.
Fellow Devils Cindy Sureephong and Kady Pooler were also able to come up with wins for the Devils bringing the point tally to three for ASU.
Freshman Sabrina Capannolo played a long tough match versus Tulane's Dorottya Magos, just barely losing 2-6, 7-6 (3), 6-3.
Junior Lauren Colalillo also had her eight in-a-row singles wins streak snapped by Darya Ivanov in a 6-2, 6-2 decision.
The Devils fall to a tough 4-10 on the year with the No. 22 Crimson of Harvard (7-5) rolling into town for a match on Tuesday afternoon.
The match is set to be held at Tempe's Whiteman Tennis Center at 1:30 p.m.
