Green Wave returns seven letterwinners, features four newcomers for 2012-13 campaign
High School: A four-star recruit who ranked as high as No. 91 by TennisRecruiting.com during her senior campaign...an ambidextrous player, she ranked No. 11 in the Great Lakes Region and was listed as No. 4 in her state by the same publication...owned a No. 96 RPI with a 12-9 overall record despite battling injuries...hovered around the nation's top-100 players during her final three years, including No. 84 as a junior and No. 101 as a sophomore...a four-year letterwinner for coaches Jim Vallesky and Rob White, she played No. 1 singles at Glenbard West High School and led the Hilltoppers to a conference crown in 2010 and two sectional titles in 2010 and 2011...sported a 93-19 overall record and received the Illinois State High School Sportsmanship Award.
Personal: Majoring in cognitive studies/English...born Meredith Ladd Maltby on May 14, 1994 in Chicago, Ill...one of three daughters of Tadd and Terri Maltby...her father played tennis at Marquette, while and uncle and aunt each played tennis at the University of Iowa.
