Spring 2001: Was a second-team All-Conference USA selection... Finished with a 10-11 record in dual match singles play... Primarily saw action at No. 3 singles, where she was 8-6... Won nine of 10 matches at one point during the season... Posted a win over nationally ranked Silvia Sosnarova... Was undefeated in the Conference USA Tournament... Also played No. 1 doubles with teammate Julie Morris.
Fall 2000: Finished the fall season with a 6-5 record... Won three of her four matches at the Tulane Green Wave Classic, including a three-set upset victory over Ole Miss' 44th-ranked Mira Radu... Was ranked 82nd in December.
Spring 2000: Was 7-5 in singles play... Turned in a 5-4 mark at No. 6
singles and was 2-1 at No. 5... Was 2-1 at the No. 6 spot during the
Conference USA Tournament... Was 5-10 in doubles action... Won four of
her final six singles matches...
Fall 1999: Turned in a solid 7-2 record during fall play... Won her
first two matches at the Roberta Allison Fall Classic in Tuscaloosa,
Ala... Twice came back from a set down to post wins at the Rice
Invitational
Spring 1999: Posted a 12-11 mark in singles play. Versatile performer
who played Nos. 2, 3, 4 and 6 singles. Was 9-9 at No. 1 doubles with
partner Jennie Ligator. Also played one doubles match with Lindsey
Merwin, posting an 8-1 result against Northwestern (La.) State at the
No. 3 spot. Saw action with Jessica Kessler at No. 2 doubles in the NCAA
Tournament.
Fall 1998: Finished with a 6-5 record in tournament play. Won the "B"
flight consolation at the Roberta Allison Fall Classic. Finished second
in the "A" flight consolation at the Rice Invitational.
Prep: Attended Hilton Head High School. Captured first place in the Art
Academic Challenge. Graduated with honors.
Personal: Born June 28, 1980. The daughter of Neil and Joan Bergman. Has
a twin sister, Janet, who plays tennis at Wake Forest. Older brother,
Jeff, plays tennis at South Carolina... Majoring in Architecture.
