2011-12: Swam in all nine meets as a true freshman...posted top times of 57.67 in the 100 free at San Diego State (Jan. 10), 1:07.00 in the 100 breast during the preliminaries of C-USA Championship (Feb. 17), 1:59.96 in the 200 free in a time trial at the C-USA Championship (Feb. 18), 2:32.90 in the 200 breast at the Houston Tri-Meet (Jan. 27), 5:07.40 in the 500 free in the C-USA prelims (Feb. 16), 10:36.62 in the 1000 free at LSU (Sept. 30) and 17:41.92 in the 1650 free at the C-USA Championship (Feb. 18)...tallied a pair of individual top three finishes: coming in second in the 1000 free at LSU and finishing third in the 1000 free vs North Texas...in relay action, anchored the 800 free at the San Diego Relays...away from the pool, claimed C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and Tulane 3.0 Club recognition, and earned C-USA Academic Medal honors after posting a GPA of 3.75 or higher.
High School: Four-year letterman at Marian High for coach Bill Thompson...set four school records as a prepster, helped the Mustangs to back-to-back State Division III titles as a freshman and sophomore and guided MHS to a State Division I runner-up showing as a senior...claimed All-Catholic, all-county and all-state honors all four seasons, was an All-American relay member as a sophomore, junior and senior, and was a Scholastic All-America nominee as a senior...voted team captain as a senior...also lettered four seasons in track and field...away from the pool, was a member of the Honor Roll, graduated valedictorian, was an AP Scholar and earned the Harvard Book Award.
