2013-14: Swam in all nine meets as a junior...posted career-best times of 23.06 in the 50 free at the Phill Hansel Invitational (Nov. 21) as well as 55.20 in the 100 fly (Feb. 28), 56.82 in the 100 back (Feb. 28) and 2:04.32 in the 200 fly (March 1) at the Conference USA Championship to go with a season-best mark of 56.46 in the 100 free vs UALR (Oct. 12)...tallied five top three individual finishes with a second-place showing in the 200 fly at North Texas (Jan. 18) and third-place performances in the 100 fly at LSU (Oct. 25) and at North Texas, and in both the 100 and 200 fly vs UALR...in relay action, earned third-team All C-USA honors in 400 free with a school-record time of 3:42.93 as well as claiming third-team all-league recognition in the 200 free with a time of 1:33.95...also helped the relay teams post second-place finishes in the 200 free vs Vanderbilt (Nov. 2), the 200 medley at North Texas and in the 400 free both at North Texas and at San Diego State (Jan. 10), while helping the 200 medley unit finish third vs UALR...away from the pool, claimed C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and Tulane 3.0 Club recognition, and earned C-USA Academic Medal honors after posting a GPA of 3.75 or higher.

2012-13: Participated in all nine meets as a sophomore...posted season-high marks of 1:55.30 in the 200 free during the preliminaries of the Phill Hansel Classic (Nov. 16), 10:24.12 in the 1000 free at Vanderbilt (Nov. 3), 4:26.53 in the 400 IM (Feb. 22) and 17:19.53 in the 1650 free (Feb. 23) at the Conference USA Championship, and 5:01.52 in the 500 free during the preliminaries of the C-USA Championship (Feb. 21)...tallied 10 top three individual finishes with wins in the 500 free at UALR (Oct. 6) and the 1000 free at both UALR (Oct. 6) and Loyola Marymount (Jan. 11), second-place showings in the 400 IM vs North Texas (Oct. 20) and at Loyola Marymount (Jan. 11), the 500 free at Loyola Marymount and the 1000 free vs LSU (Oct. 26), and third-place performances in the 500 free vs LSU and the 1000 free at Vanderbilt and vs North Texas...in relay action, helped the 400 medley unit post a win at UALR (Oct. 6) while posting third-place showings in the 200 free at San Diego State (Jan. 7) and in the 200 medley vs North Texas (Oct. 20) ...away from the pool, claimed C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and Tulane 3.0 Club recognition, and earned C-USA Academic Medal honors after posting a GPA of 3.75 or higher.

2011-12: Swam in all nine meets as a true freshman...posted top times of 25.24 in the 50 free with a leadoff split at the UH Cougar Classic (Nov. 17), 54.99 in the 100 free in the preliminaries at the UH Cougar Classic (Nov. 19), and 56.89 in the 100 fly (Feb. 17), 58.71 in the 100 back (Feb. 17) and 2:08.26 in the 200 fly (Feb. 18) in the preliminaries at C-USA Championship...top individual finishes were fourth-place showings in the 50 free vs Vanderbilt and in the 100 fly vs North Texas...in relay action, helped finish third in the 200 medley vs Vanderbilt...also swam the third leg of the 400 medley at the Houston Tri-Meet, leadoff in the 400 free at LSU and the second leg of the 400 free at the Houston Tri-Meet, third leg of the 400 medley at the Houston Tri-Meet, and various legs of the 200 free throughout the season...away from the pool, claimed C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and Tulane 3.0 Club recognition.

High School: Attended Manchester Essex High but did not compete as a prep athlete...swam for the YMCA North Shore Club where she twice earned YMCA All-America honors and was a YMCA National, Speedo Section and New England age-group qualifier...member of the New England Top 10 and helped her teams win the YMCA New England Championship and YMCA District titles...was a member of the National Honor Society and Honor Roll, and was named an AP and Manchester-Essex Scholar.

Personal: Born Amy Louise Needham on Feb. 26, 1993, in Beverly, Mass...daughter of Gary and Joanne Needham...has one sister, Emily, who swam collegiately at Tulane...uncles Mark Needham and Eddie Field played football at Tennessee and baseball and Northeastern, respectively...grandfather, Edward, played football at South Carolina...majoring in finance.
