High School: Two-year letterwinner Zebulon B. Vance High School before playing final two prep seasons at Mallard Creek High for coach Taylor Blanton...was a 4Aa state qualifier in the 200- and 500-yard freestyle in each of her final three prep seasons, voted team captain as a junior and senior, and twice earned USA Swimming Scholastic All-America honors...named MECA Female Swimmer of the Year, voted team MVP and tabbed Senior of the Year by Wendy's High School Heisman and The Charlotte Observer in 2009...set a pair of school records at Mallard Creek and two more at Zebulon B. Vance...away from the pool, was a member of the National Honor Society and National Art Honor Society...graduated class valedictorian, served as secretary of Mu Alpha Theta and earned the Mallard Creek Scholar Award.
Club: Swam 10 years for the Mecklenburg Aquatics Club...competed in the 2005 Deaflympic Games in Melbourne, Australia where she won the silver medal in the relays, and the 2007 World Deaf Championships in Taipei, Taiwan where she claimed two gold, one silver and two bronze medals in individual events...posted top times of 1:56.55 in the 200 free, 5:10.01 in the 500 free and 17:38.75 in the 1650 free.
