Riki-Ann Serrins

Riki-Ann Serrins joins the Tulane women’s soccer coaching staff this season, responsible for the training of the Green Wave goalkeepers.

Serrins arrives in New Orleans after having spent the 2001-02 season as an assistant coach at Georgetown University where she was also in charge of directing the goalkeepers.

During her stay at Georgetown, the Hoyas finished the 2001 season with an 11-7-1 overall record that included an ECAC Division I women’s soccer title. The Hoyas were ranked as high as ninth in the Mid-Atlantic Region by both Soccer Buzz Magazine and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Serrins also boasts high-level professional playing experience with the Northern Virginia Majestics in the USISL W-League. She was named the 2001 W-League Goalkeeper of the Year and was a first-team W-League selection. In fact, her play earned her a tryout with the W-USA’s Washington Freedom, where she was a member of the team during preseason.

Serrins played collegiately at the University of Maryland from 1997-2000. She was selected to play in the prestigious 2001 Umbro College Select All-Star game after her senior season and was twice named All-ACC. She also excelled in the classroom, earning ACC Academic Honor Roll honors each year at Maryland.

Originally from Mission Viejo, Calif., Serrins played her club soccer with the Shamrocks Soccer Team from 1989-1998. She helped lead Shamrocks to eight state championships and five Region IV titles. The team won the 1998 USYSA National championship after having been runners-up in 1996.

In 1995 and again in 1998, Serrins was named the Most Valuable Goalkeeper at the Snickers U.S. National Championships. She was a member of the Region IV Olympic Development team and was a U.S. National pool goalkeeper.

Serrins earned her bachelor’s degree in physical education from Maryland in 2002.
