Women's Golf Finishes 10th at Lady Paladin Invitational

GREENVILLE, S.C. - Led by Pam Buff's 12th-place individual finish, the Tulane women's golf team finished tenth Sunday at the Lady Paladin Invitational. It was the squad's third consecutive top-10 finish this fall.

Buff, a junior from Duluth, Ga., held a share of the lead heading into Sunday's final round, but shot an 81 to finish in a tie for 12th place with a three-round total of 226. It was Buff's third top-20 finish in four events this year.

As a team, Tulane carded a final-round 316 to finish in tenth place with a three-round total of 940. Wake Forest won the 24-team event with an 892 total, 16 strokes ahead of runner-up Texas. Individually, TCU's Angela Stanford won individual medalist honors by defeating Wake Forest's Maria Beautell in a playoff. Both players finished regulation with a 216 total.

Tulane also got a strong performance from Meghan Bolger. Bolger finished tied for 26th place with a 232 total. She was one of two Green Wave players to post a round in the 70s on Sunday.

Also competing for the Green Wave were Kathy Schafer (T55th/241), Catalina Lara (T55th/241) and Bonnie Hanlin (T98th/253).

Tulane will next be in action Nov. 8-9 at the Palmetto Women's Intercollegiate at Kiawah Island, S.C.
