NEW ORLEANS - The Tulane Green Wave, the Cinderella story of the year in women's golf, continues its storybook run this week at the 2009 NCAA Women's Golf Championships at the Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, Md. The NCAA Championships will consist of four rounds beginning with the opening round on Tuesday, May 19 and will conclude with the final round on Friday, May 22.

Because of anticipated frost in the area tee times for Tuesday and Wednesday have been move back one half hour. The morning tee times will now begin at 8 a.m. (ET) and the afternoon team times will begin at 12:30 p.m. (ET). The Green Wave will be matched with Michigan State and UC Irvine players and the trio of teams will begin teeing off at 8:10 a.m. (EST) during Tuesday's opening round.

There are several ways to follow Tulane through its four-day jaunt in the national title race. Members of the Tulane Athletic staff traveling with the team will maintain a daily blog featuring live Twitter updates, as well as audio and video clips, though the Tulane Blog on the official website of Green Wave Athletics: TulaneGreenWave.com

Live scoring and results will be available each day on Golfstat.com, while live streaming of the final two rounds of the golf championships will also be available online at NCAA.com. Holes 16, 17 and 18 will be streamed on Thursday and Friday, May 21 and 22.

The Caves Valley Golf Club is par-72, 6,443-yard course located within a 35 minute drive of Baltimore's Inner Harbor and the Baltimore-Washington International Airport. Nine hundred sixty-two acres of rolling hills, pastures, woods, and wetlands, situated amid the natural beauty of Maryland's estate and hunt country, form a spectacular setting for the golf club and its support facilities. The course became fully playable in July 1991.

In its first season of competition, Tulane punched its ticket to the national championship rounds with a fifth place finish at the NCAA East Regionals last week in Gainesville, Fla.

The field for the 2009 NCAA Championships features 18 nationally ranked squads, including top-ranked Arizona State and defending national champion USC, which enters the championships ranked No. 3 in the country.

The 2009 field includes Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State, Denver, Duke, Georgia, LSU, Michigan State, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Pepperdine, Purdue, TCU, Tennessee, Texas, Tulane, UC-Irvine, UCLA, USC, UT-Chattanooga, Virginia and Wake Forest.

Tulane was the only unranked team from the East Region to advance and joins Ohio State, UT-Chattanooga, TCU, UC Irvine and Texas as the only unranked squads in the 24-team field.

The Green Wave is making its second-ever appearance in the NCAA Championships. Tulane's only previous appearance came in 2005 when the Wave notched a 15th-place finish under then head coach Sue Bower. Previously, Tulane advanced to NCAA Regionals three times, but just missed out on the championship rounds with a ninth place finish in 2002, 11th place in 2003 and 10th place in 2004. The Wave earned its first trip to regional play in 2000 and finished 24th.
