2012 Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Golf Championsip - Day 3

Highlights from the final day of the 2012 Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Golf Championship.

Tulane: A three-year letterwinner...has played 30 rounds in 11 tournaments and has a career scoring average of 80.56 (2417) and has one top-20 finish...her best 54-hole total was a 12-over 228 at the 2011 Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate, while her lowest round was a 1-over 73 at the same event.

Senior (2011-12): Fall: Saw action as an individual in the season opener at the Mo Morial and fired a 247 total with her best round coming on the second day with a 7-over 79...posted a 59th-place finish.

Junior (2010-11): Played nine rounds in three tournaments...played as an individual during her lone fall tournament (Alamo Invitational) and during the spring at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Golf Championship...made her career debut in the Green Wave line-up at the LSU Golf Classic...best round of the season was a 1-over 73 during the second round of the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Golf Championship, while her best 54-hole total was a 228 at the same event...also logged her highest finish at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Golf Championship

Fall 2010: Played three rounds in one tournament, the Alamo Invitational, as an individual and finished with a 251 for 74th place...posted an 83.67 (251 strokes) scoring average.

Sophomore (2009-10): Played nine rounds in four tournaments and produced a 79.22 (713 strokes) scoring average...saw action in the Tiger/Wave Classic as an individual.

Fall 2009: Played six rounds in three tournaments (three rounds were canceled due to inclement weather) and finished with a 78.50 scoring average...notched the best round of her collegiate career with a 4-over 76 during the second round of the Mo Morial and turned in her best finish with a 15th place showing.

Summer of 2009: Competed in two tournaments, including the Trans Amateur Championship with teammate Ashley McKenney and at the 12th Carolinas Women's Match Play Championship where she finished second in stroke play with a 1-under par 71 and advanced to match play. In the match play, she downed two opponents before falling to the eventual champion in the semifinals.

Freshman (2008-09): Saw action in three tournaments and played nine rounds...her overall scoring average was 81.67 (735 strokes) but she improved to 80.33 during the spring...best finish came at the Rebel Intercollegiate where she finished 43rd...her low round of 77 came during the opening round of The Derby.

Fall 2008: Played in two tournaments...participated in the Badger Invitational as an individual...recorded her best finish and round of the fall at the Derby Invitational, where she finished 60th and posted an opening round score of five-over par 77...her average round was 82.33.

High School: A three-time all-state selection...chosen as Conference Player of the Year each year of high school...a four-time All-Region selection and team MVP... received 2007 Rolex All-American Honorable Mention and HP Scholastic All-American...qualified for 2007 US Girl's Junior and 2008 US Women's Amateur...led team to conference championships in 2007 and 2006, with second place finish at regionals and fifth place finish at state championship...selected as 2008 Girls Scholar Athlete of the Year... served as class valedictorian...member of the Honor Society...received the Achievement Award for Science recipient.

Personal: A ecology and evolutionary biology major...born Stephanie Ares Wagstaff on January 10, 1990, in Asheville, North Carolina...one of two children of Gerald and Karen Wagstaff...a three-time member of the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll, Tulane 3.0 Club and is a two-time recipient of the the C-USA Commissioner's Academic Medal.
