Fall 2000: Played in four tournaments in the fall, missing the Auburn Tiger Derby Invitational due to an unavoidable illness......Her best finishes came in the Memphis Women's Intercollegiate (T-9th) and a T-25th at the Wahine Fall Golf Classic...In the Rainbow Wahine Golf Classic Fernandez shot 80-77-77...Shot a single round season low 75 in the Memphis Women's Intercollegiate...Finished the fall with a 79.00 stroke average.

Summer 2000: The No. 14th ranked junior in the country according to the Golf Week/Sagarin Ranking System...Named a Second Team American Junior Golf Association All-American in 2000.

Prep: While at Green Valley High School she helped lead the team to four consecutive state championship titles and a national record of 107 undefeated matches...Won the 16-18 Division of the Arizona Silver Belle ...Finished tied for third with US Amateur Champion Marcy Newton behind two former All-Americans Jenna Daniels and Flippa Hansen...Competed in numerous regional, state and national events...finished third at the 1997 AJGA Las Vegas Founders and earned a four year exempt status at the PGA Maxifli Championship, being the youngest competitor (13 years) at the Maxifli in 1995...Two-time Nevada Women's Amateur Champion...Quarterfinalist in the 1999 US Junior Girls...Runner-up in the William "Bill" Dickey Annual Golf Tournament...Runner-up in the 2000 Texas-Oklahoma and shot the low round of the tournament of 69...Finished in 7th place in the invitational only AJGA Rolex Tournament of Champions, shooting 79-74-72-72...Graduated with high honors from Green Valley High School.
