160 Student-Athletes Recognized for Their Work in the Classroom

Over 30 Student-Athletes Volunteered from Boston College and Tulane

Redshirt Freshman (2010): Appeared in nine matches off the bench with 26 sets played...ranked third on the team in assists (97)... posted six double-digit assist matches...made her first collegiate appearance against #4 Stanford in the season opener and handed out 13 assists and three digs...posted her lone double-double of the season at Southern Miss (10/20) with 16 assists and ten digs...handed out 15 assists and chipped in three service aces and two digs in a win over East Carolina (10/22)...had seven digs and 17 assists in a five-set win over Marshall (10/23)...posted 18 assists at UAB (10/29) and 13 assists at Memphis (10/31) on a Conference USA roadtrip...was a Tulane 3.0 Club and Conference USA Commissioner Honor Roll Selection...also earned the Conference USA Academic Medal, which is awarded to student-athletes who maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher.

Prep: Lettered two seasons at Hightower High School before playing her final prep season at Stephen F. Austin High School... she saw time at setter, right-side hitter and defensive specialist for coach Amy Cataline at SFAHS...helped team post 15 wins and reach the state playoffs in her lone season at Stephen F. Austin...named District 23-5A Outstanding Setter, first-team all-district and varsity MVP as a senior...named all-district as a sophomore and junior...tabbed district Newcomer of the Year as a sophomore...named MVP of the Hightower Junior Varsity Team as a freshman...off the court, named Academic All-District, received the Academic Excellence Award in media studies and was a member of the National Honor Society...played two seasons of club for the Texas Tornados Volleyball Club for coaches Rob Amason and James Fuller...voted team captain in 2008...selected to the USAV Lone Star High Performance Team (16s) and competed in the USAV Junior Olympics (15s).
