Four Bowlers Set to Compete at 2014 Junior Golds

BUFFALO, N.Y. - Tulane bowlers Hannah Ryan, Angela Falgoust, Jessica Quebedeaux and Sarah Forton are set to compete in the four-day 2014 Junior Gold Championships that gets underway on Monday.

The Junior Gold Championships is an annual national tournament for the top male and female youth bowlers in the United States. The tournament awards scholarships and youth bowlers competing in the U20 and U15 divisions also have the opportunity to earn a spot on Junior Team USA. The tournament has six divisions - U12 Boys, U12 Girls, U15 Boys, U15 Girls, U20 Boys and U20 Girls.

Tulane's four bowlers will be participating in the U20 Girls division. There will be three qualifying rounds, followed by an advancers round, a final advancers round and the match-play bracket.

Ryan, a junior from Benton, La., averaged a 165.9 pin fall last season in 25 games as a sophomore. Falgoust, a sophomore from Baton Rouge, La., led the Green Wave with a 177.3 average in 27 games as a freshman. Quebedeaux, a sophomore from Lafayette, La., posted a 169.7 average in 25 games as a freshman.

Forton is an incoming freshman for the Green Wave from Macomb, Mich.
