SMYRNA, Tenn. - The Tulane bowling team is set to close out the 2013-14 regular season this weekend at the ninth annual Columbia 300 Music City Classic hosted by Vanderbilt University at the Smyrna Bowling Center.
The Green Wave (28-52) will be one of 29 teams in the field that includes 19 of the top 20 teams in the National Ten Pin Coaches Association poll.
The classic gets underway on Friday with six, four-game Baker matches at 9 a.m. CT. Saturday features six team games that get rolling at 8:30 a.m. CT, while Sunday is three best-of-seven Baker matches starting at 8:30 a.m. CT.
"We hope to close out the season on a good note," Tulane head coach Hayley Veitch said. "This is always the biggest field of the year with great competition so this will be a good gauge for us to see what we need to focus on during the off season."
Tulane is led by freshman Angela Falgoust with a pinfall average of 176.4 in 21 games this season. She is followed by sophomore Hannah Harrison (174.5 in 19 games), senior Caryn Wong (174.3 in 19 games) and junior Jessica Stricklin (174.1 in 27 games).
