NEW ORLEANS - In the first game of the 2006 Tulane DoubleTree Classic, Texas-Arlington topped Ole Miss, 66-55, behind a 19-point, 12-rebound effort from Tiffeny Riles. Maryann Abanobi added 14 points for the Mavs, while Ashley Bobb chipped in nine points, 11 rebounds and six assists.

UTA advances to face the winner of Fordham at Tulane in the Championship Game on Saturday, while Ole Miss will face the game two loser in the Consolation Game.

The Mavericks (5-7) never trailed in the game, forcing Ole Miss into 29 turnovers, including one on each of the first three Ole Miss possessions. UTA held the Rebels to 0-for-3 from behind the three-point line. UTA also owned a 43-31 edge on the glass.

Jada Mincy recorded a double-double for Ole Miss (9-4), with 12 points and 11 rebounds, Armintie Price paced the Rebels with 20 points.

The Consolation Game tips off at 5 p.m, with the Championship Game to follow.
