On if she feels her team needs to win on Friday to earn an NCAA invite
"I think that the only way we can make sure that we play in the NCAA Tournament is to make sure we win this. I think we've had a great season with 25 wins. We've put together a very good resume."
On the state of her team entering the C-USA Championship game
"They're excited to be here. Last night's game showed how much enthusiasm our defense can play with. We came out aggressive and intense. This is something the team they wanted once we won the regular season. To prove that they're the best team, they needed to win this."
On UAB and the way they're playing this week
"They're a dangerous team and they're very hot right now. Like us, they have different players that can step up every night and score. They've had a tough road to get here - beating the home team in Tulsa, and then to beat No. 3 and No. 2. They're playing very well. That shows that they're playing very well and they're very determined to try and play in the postseason."
On if Tulane's win over UAB during the regular season gives the Green Wave an edge
"At this time of year, nothing matters. It's about who shows up that night and who executes. UAB is a different team right now than they were during the regular season. We've got to be prepared for their best shot."
On if her team is on a mission
"I think so. We've been very focused for an entire season, and that's something that is difficult to say about a lot of basketball teams. This team wants to win this and they want to be in the NCAAs."
On Tulane's share-the-wealth offense
"That's why we're good. To stop Tulane, you can't stop just one or two players. You have to stop the whole team. Last night's performance was one of our best offensively because we shared the ball. That extra pass gave us great looks and a very good shooting percentage."
On if the day off helps or hurts Tulane for the championship game
"I think it helps us and I think it helps both teams. It gives both teams a chance to have a good game tomorrow instead of just a survival game. So it should be a well-played game."
