March 2, 2001

NEW ORLEANS -- Should the Tulane women's basketball team triumph in its first game at the Conference USA Tournament this weekend in Milwaukee, local fans will be able to see the team's next game live on Pax 49 (cable channel 49) in New Orleans on Sunday, March 4 at 5 p.m.

The cable station has signed with the newly-formed Conference USA Television Network to pick up the syndicated broadcast of both semifinal games. Tipoff of the first semifinal is scheduled for 2 p.m. CST with the second game getting underway at 5 p.m.

Tulane, the No. 2 seed in the tournament, will face the winner of Friday night's contest between No. 10 Charlotte and No. 7 and host team Marquette. That game will be played Saturday night at 8 p.m. and can be heard locally on WRBH-FM (88.3), as will all of Tulane's games during the tournament.

The tournament final will be broadcast by espn2, tape-delayed at 10:30 p.m. on Monday, March 5. The game will be played at 7 p.m. at the U.S. Cellular Arena.
