Langford's Log Archive

After avenging a previous loss to UTEP, we soundly beat them this past Saturday. It was an exciting win, and the Green Wave fans were very supportive. It is great to play in front of such dedicated fans. Also, we gave autographs after the game, which allowed us to mingle with our fans. It is great to see so many children at the games, and even one little girl gave us a picture that she made; she was too cute!

With the win, we move up to fifth place in the Conference USA standings. We are hoping to continue our winning streak this week against Southern Mississippi and University of Central Florida. Southern Mississippi has one of the better records in conference, so we can't wait to knock them off!

Academically, classes have started back again so everyone is trying to adjust to a new practice schedule (mornings) and new classes. Surprisingly, the new practice time (8:30 a.m.) has been beneficial; it allows us to get in the gym for extra shots and gives us personal freedom in the afternoons.

Kudos to Jami Montagnino who received Conference USA Player of the Week last week. Jami has had a sensational year so far, and she is great a teammate. Congratulations to the New Orleans Saints on a terrific turn around season, and way to represent our city.

Tulane Women's Basketball is ready to pick up where the Saints left off and continue to positively represent New Orleans. Catch us this Friday against Southern Miss at 7 p.m. or this Sunday against University of Central Florida at 2 p.m.
