On the matchup between Tulane and Southern Miss
"They're a very efficient offensive team. They've done a nice job this year of putting the ball in the basket and they've got different players stepping up. They've got some junior college players and some freshmen, and they are really a different team from last year. I think there are only really two returning players playing minutes for them. Because of the location of the two schools, this is always a good game. It's as much of a rivalry game as any and it's the first time we'll play them twice since 2005. [Jamierra] Faulkner is probably one of the best point guards in the country. She's playing well and she's not turning the ball over as she's done before. This will definitely be a challenge for us."
On playing Southern Miss twice this season and the importance of taking care of business at home
"Every conference game matters. We did some good things the other night, even though we lost. We've just got to bounce back and be ready to play a very good and very confident Southern Miss team."
On how her team can bounce back from Wednesday's loss to East Carolina
"I don't think we played poorly. We made some mistakes, but we shot well and we did some really good things. There were some things to build off of. You look at Tiffany Dale's performance over the last three games, that's really something that we feel good about - to have that inside/outside that we've been looking for. Even though we lost to a very good team, we're still playing well."
On what her team has to do to attain the goals it set at the beginning of the year
"It's early in the season and we just have to keep plugging away. Consistency is going to be the key. We have to show up to every game and not overlook anybody. We play 16 conference games and we're still very early in the season."
