NEW ORLEANS - Tulane entertains Southern Mississippi at Fogelman Arena in its Conference USA opener on Monday.
The 24th-ranked Green Wave are the defending Conference USA champions and have won the conference title two of the last three seasons.
Tulane (11-0), which boasts a school record winning streak, posted a 76-72 win over No. 11 Louisiana State University on Friday.
Senior guard Grace Daley scored 20 of her game-high 31 points in the second half and had nine rebounds as the Green Wave snapped LSU's 10-game winning streak. Junior center Janell Burse chipped in with 15 points and 14 rebounds for her third straight double-double.
Daley leads the conference in scoring with 24.1 points per game.
Tulane, winners of all six home games this season, have won nine consecutive home games since a 70-51 loss to Cincinnati on Jan. 31 of last season.
Southern Mississippi (6-5) has dropped three of its last five games, including a 62-60 loss to intrastate rival Mississippi on Wednesday. The Lady Eagles lost by just one point to Arkansas State on Dec. 20.
Senior Angela Atterbury leads the Lady Eagles offense with 13 points and 9.2 rebounds a game.
