Overall thoughts on the game
"Once again, I think our defense is the core of what we do. We did some very good things there. We had some goals that wanted to accomplish today and one of them was we rebounding. We out-rebounded them by 15. We were going to try and cut our down which we really didn't today, but we wanted to shoot free throws better. That was something that was really good to see - getting to the free throw line quite a bit and being able to hit about 83 percent of them."

On the rebounding performance of freshmen forwards Tiffany Dale and Adesuwa Ebomwonyi
"I thought the two of them had so many rebounds in the first half and gave us some opportunities. We just missed some easy shots. I told them that the coaches are never happy. You score 75 points and I talked about all the shots we missed. There were so many opportunities in the paint and we still had a very good field goal percentage."

On the offense shooting 41.9 percent from the field
"It's good to see Katye Magee come in and hit some open shots. That really changes a lot for us. She's such a great shooter and it was good to see her gain some confidence there. This was one of Olivia's better games today. Her floor game was good. As far as her shot selection goes, this was a really good game for her. She was 6-for-10, took some really good shots and finished them."

On the freshmen playing key roles so far during the 2011-12 season
"We talk a lot about roles and what different people can do. I think we're starting to see with Tiffany Dale and Adesuwa two really good rebounders. You've got Katye Magee who can hit those outside shots. I thought Jamie did a good job of controlling the tempo of the game today. The freshmen are really doing some good things and our upperclassmen are giving us that anchor and that experience."

On freshman guard Danielle Blagg coming off the bench to score 10 points
"That's the big thing for Danielle. She started off so strong in her first three or four games and it's hard to maintain that level of play. Today, there were so many plays that she was in on. Maybe she didn't get the steal or get the rebound, but she was in on a lot of them. There are so many things that she can do besides the scoring. It was good to see her go out there and really respond. She's just such a good athlete and can do so many things out there."

On going a perfect 7-0 against Louisiana opponents this season
"Probably more important than that, you finish off this time right before Christmas. If you told me before the year started that we could be 9-2 at this point with the schedule we have, I would have been a little surprised. This team has really been fun. They're fun to coach because they get better and they keep in it. They seem to really love to play. I sit over there on the bench and you can just hear everybody cheering for everybody. That kind of chemistry is what can win championships. I hope this team really feels like we could be on our way to that."

On the upcoming Tulane/DoubleTree Classic
"This year's tournament maybe doesn't have as many name teams that people would know, but these teams are better than some of the teams we've had here in the last few years. You look at Hampton, an NCAA team last year that returns pretty much everyone. Central Michigan is a team that beat Purdue, which beat us, and is really playing well. That's going to be a tough opponent. College of Charleston just played Connecticut and who wants to play Connecticut? It's going to be a great tournament and we're going to have to come back after Christmas and really be focused to finish off the non-conference season."
