Tulane head coach Lisa Stockton
"I feel like our lack of intensity starting the game did us in. We were really tight to start the game. Texas Tech did a great job of capitalizing on that. When we weren't getting shots they were going in transition and scoring."
On Texas Tech's 14-0 run from down 14-12 to 26-14
"In the first half we can quite a few people with two fouls, and we sat them - really the players we would go to were on the bench during that time. I thought Tech did a great job with their intensity, scoring in transition, and getting into passing lanes and getting steals.
We really don't turn the ball over that much. We average about 15 a game and they forced us into 25 tonight. I really have to give them credit defensively. They had players step up and make plays tonight and we really didn't.
It's a ranked opponent. We played one before against LSU, so that was something [the team] really focused on. And when things didn't go our way at first, it didn't help that.
We have a lot of aspirations, but we're just not ready yet. This was really good for us.
On returning to Texas Tech after Tulane spent the fall semester of 2005-06 in Lubbock following Hurricane Katrina
It was good until 7 o'clock. It was great to be back. I think I can speak for every one of the kids when I say that we do have great memories from here. It's such a bittersweet thing, at that time there were so many awful things going on in our lives, but there were so many great things here. We got to see a lot of people we hadn't seen in a year. Everyone was so wonderful to us here.
