Overall thoughts on the game
"In both halves, we started very focused. We really attacked them offensively, and defensively, we really shut them down. As the game went on, I think we gave them too many open looks and that's what helped them close up the score a little bit. I think we set the tone with our defense."
On the performance of point guard Roshaunda Barnes
"I thought Roshaunda looked really relaxed and she really attacked. They didn't press us at all tonight and I think that was because Roshaunda and Turtle handled the ball so well. She stayed within herself tonight, played a great game offensively and defensively, and it would have been hard to do without her."
On the way the Green Wave has played so far this season
"We have been very consistent. I'm really pleased with our field goal percentage tonight. Offensively, we're doing some really good things Fatigue set in a little bit tonight and I thought we lacked a little something in us late in the second half. We talked to the team (after the game) and we're going to have to come out on Tuesday and be a lot tougher than we were today. We're going to have to work a little harder and execute a little better."
On starting the season 3-0 for the first time since 2001-02
"I'm very happy about staring off 3-0, especially with as limited of a roster as we have. When you don't have Brett (Benzio) and you don't have Danielle (Nunn) - that's two starters out - and we haven't had Janique and some of the freshmen, I think that says a lot about the kids we have on the floor in what they've been able to accomplish. We've had some good opponents. Coming up here, this is a difficult place to play, but we've responded and we've done a good job with that."
On being able to play walk-ons Kacy Hardie and Brooke Blankenship in each of the last two games
"I give those kids a lot of credit. I told them I didn't know how much game time they would actually get because of our schedule. I'm glad they've had the opportunity to play because it's tough to come to practice all the time and never get a chance to work on the court. This is two games in a row that they've been able to get in. They've worked really hard and they're trying to make us better."
