Tulane Head Coach Lisa Stockton
Opening Statement: "We knew it was going to be tough. We played extremely well when we beat them last time. We thought it was a tough draw. I have to give them a lot of credit. They shot the ball phenomenally tonight. They had different players step up and just played very aggressive."

"When we're good is when our defense creates our offense. I thought we really had a lot of energy early. That's the way we need to play to beat really good teams. It was really good to see that energy and enthusiasm. And if Southern Miss hadn't answered with such great shooting, we could have had the game in control. They responded really well. They got some easy baskets; Helgeson had some easy baskets. Barber stepped up and had points we didn't expect her to have. So I thought they answered our challenge."

"When they have a forward like Pauline Love, no rebound is safe. She went after it, and certainly rebounding was an advantage, but they shot 48 percent for the game. When you shoot such a high percentage... their efficiency on offense was really tough to respond to."

On Ashley Langford and Megan Valicevic "I think Tulane should be very proud of this team. This is a team which competed every day. These are tremendous seniors. We were in Lubbock, together [in 2005-06 following Hurricane Katrina]. And from when they came in, to when they left, we're a better program. So I'm very thankful to them. This is a special group."

Senior Guard Ashley Langford
On playing 40 minutes "That's coaches' call, I just get out there and play, I'm used to playing 40 minutes for four years."

"You don't want to think it's over until it's over. And you try to do everything you can to make sure it's not your last game."
