Overall thoughts on the game
"I thought we did some good things defensively, we just struggled to score. Going in at halftime, we had a three-point lead and we were shooting 20 percent. In the second half, we just had so many droughts and couldn't score. That became the story of the game."
On still being in position to get a first-round bye in the C-USA Championship, with a little help
"Luckily, we took care of business early in the season and we're still in a good position. Our concern as a staff is just trying to find out identity again and make sure that we can have some confidence in our game both offensively and defensively."
On Tulane's recent slump
"You're still looking at a team that's playing five freshmen and there are so many people who haven't been in this position. I don't know if it's the pressure getting to us or just inconsistency because of our lack of experience. Either way, we know we can be good. We know we can get together and be good. We just have to be ready to play in the tournament."
On the team not playing its best basketball heading into the C-USA Tournament
"That was our goal going into the tournament, but we're not. We've got one more game left and we'll see how we finish that. I still think we're a team that's in position for the postseason. We need to keep that in mind and we need to be ready to start a new season in Memphis."
