Overall thoughts on the game
"We had a 16-point lead and I thought we were playing pretty well. We got in some foul trouble. We had some people with fouls sitting on the bench, but one of our strengths has usually been going pretty deep and it not affect us. We just weren't able to do that today. It started on the glass. (Houston) started getting on the glass and getting extra shots. They were getting to the free throw line and we didn't do a very good job of protecting the lead."

On Houston going on a 20-0 run midway through the second half
"We just quit scoring. It came down to two things. We quit making baskets and they were getting second-chance opportunities during that time. I thought we had done a really good job up until that point of eliminating their second-chance opportunities. During that span, they got free throws, they got put-backs and we didn't score."

On giving up a season-high 71 points to the Cougars
"Well, we did go to (double) overtime so that had something to do with it. Again, I thought in the last five minutes of regulation and even into overtime, we did a good job defensively. We were down by eight with about five minutes left and held them, came back and put it in overtime. I thought our defense really cracked down at the end, but we just had a hard time scoring."

On if this was one of the most hard-fought games the Green Wave played all year
"I don't know. I'm just disappointed that we lost the lead. I thought we played really hard in the last five minutes of regulation and the two overtimes. We played about as hard as we can play. It's just tough to fight from a 16-point lead to being down by (eight). It's just a lot of swings to be able to control, and I'm just disappointed. I'm disappointed with the effort of our team overall. I think we play well against teams with good records and we haven't played well against teams that don't. We need to look ourselves in the eye and figure out why that is."

On what she told the team in the locker room after the game
"I told them I'm disappointed. I'm disappointed that we're not more consistent. I think that some of our players give effort all of the time, but as a team we don't always do that. Part of it, honestly, is that we have a lot of depth and we probably depend on each other too much instead of stepping up ourselves."

On Houston's game-winning shot coming off an offensive rebound
"It hurt not having (Tiffany) Dale. She's our leading rebounder, and we played 14 minutes without her. We played with Brittany McDonald and Janique (Kautsky) back there. That's tough. I thought we did a pretty good job up until that point. You've got to score. Basically, you've got to score. It's not one play. You've got to score. We had shots. We had a chance to go up by five in that last overtime, didn't get it and then gave up a three. That's on us."
