Overall thoughts on the game
"I thought the rebounding is what killed us, really. Offensively, we started off slow and then we ended up shooting 44 percent. I just don't think we played with the same effort. I told the team, I thought our intensity level wasn't great. We had missed assignments and things like that. What hurt us was the rebounds. They got offensive rebounds for a segment there where we had a seven-point lead and then they dominated the boards. Tiffany Dale was really the only one for us getting rebounds in there. That's the story of this game. We came back and got it close, got a shot there at the end that could have tied it, but it shouldn't have come down to that."
On the overall balance among Conference USA teams
"Nobody is bad. Everybody can be good and they can play really well. We were coming off a big win and sometimes people have nothing to lose. It's the same thing when we go and play a big team. I'm disappointed in our effort for a full 40 minutes. I thought we did such a bad job of starting the game and our bench came in and caught us back up. I don't think that should happen. We're going to watch some film and really show that maybe our lacked some respect. If it wasn't already (10-0) then maybe those rebounds wouldn't matter during that segment. But it's hard to come back from that and try to play that much better than this team."
On the return of Whitney Bibbins and Danielle Blagg today after missing the last game with an illness
"I'm glad they played today. I can say that. They're great for us. We just have to have other players still play well. I don't think Olivia Grayson or Janique (Kautsky) had their better games today, and we need them to be good, too. That's what makes us good. We don't have somebody who is going to score 30 points, but we've got players that can do a lot of things. I think it was defensively that we really let down today."
