Cindy Lentz joined the Tulane staff for the 2006-07 season after a stint at her alma mater, Appalachian State University, in Boone, North Carolina. In addition to working with the women's basketball program at Tulane, she also assists with the Track & Field team and serve as Insurance Coordinator.
After graduating from Appalachian State in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training with a minor in Health Promotion, Lentz earned her Master of Public Health degree at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City. While completing her master's, she served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for the football and softball teams from 2002-04.
For the 2004-05 season, she joined the staff of Mars Hill College, near Asheville, N.C., as an Assistant Athletic Trainer, working with the women's soccer and baseball teams.
Lentz, a native of Blowing Rock, N.C., returned to Appalachian State in 2005, where she was an assistant athletic trainer working with women's basketball and cheerleading. She also served as insurance coordinator, drug testing coordinator and clinical instructor.
