Handed out a career-best three assists in Tulane's home win over Houston (Feb. 16)... Contributed her first steal in Tulane's win against Winthrop (Nov. 18), a game in which she grabbed a career-high two rebounds... Also added two rebounds in the Conference USA First Round against Marshall (Mar. 6).... Scored a career-best three points with her only three-pointer made (in her only two attempts) at Southern Miss (Feb. 24).

Barnes averaged 13.1 points per game and 7.1 assists per game for Southern University Laboratory School... As a senior, she was First Team All-Louisiana and the District MVP, as well as First Team All-Metro and Honorable Mention All-America... The team advanced to the state semifinals the past two seasons and the state championship in 2004... Barnes' teams also won a pair of state championships in 2002 and 2003... Also member of the 2005-06 state champion track team... Off the court, she was an Honor Roll member.
