TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Tulane's men's tennis team closes out the fall schedule this weekend when the squad travels to the University of Alabama for the Crimson Tide Fall Championships for the three-day event at the Alabama Tennis Stadium.

The tournament will feature four draws in both singles and doubles and will include players from 12 schools. In addition to Tulane and host Alabama, Auburn, Furman, Jackson State, Middle Tennessee State, Samford, South Alabama, Southern Miss, Tennessee Tech, UAB and West Alabama will be represented.

"This is going to be a great opportunity for us to finish up the fall season on a strong note," Tulane head coach Mark Booras said. "We had some good results two weeks ago at the regionals, but we also had some results where guys should have done better than they should have. In order to finish strong we want to be able to put together three solid days in a row."

Senior Joe Young leads the Green Wave this fall with four singles wins. Fellow senior Idan Mark has three wins, while freshmen Dominik Koepfer and Ian Van Cott also have three victories.

"I'm excited about the level of the guys we have," Booras added. "We just have to keep on working on our maturity so we can gain that confidence and finish the fall on the right note."

The tournament gets underway at 9 a.m. Friday with the four doubles flights. Singles will begin once the opening round of doubles is completed.
