NEW ORLEANS - The Tulane men's tennis team completes its fall schedule Friday through Sunday at the Alabama Crimson Tide Invitational. A week after facing the region's toughest competition at the 2009 Wilson/ITA Southern Regional Championship, Tulane will meet a host of regional opponents again in Alabama.

Southern Region teams in the Alabama Crimson Tide Invitational include Southern Miss, UAB, Tulane and host Alabama. Joining those four in the field are Gardner-Webb, Georgia Southern, Jacksonville State, Kentucky, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, Radford, Tennessee, Chattanooga, Tennessee Tech and Vanderbilt.

"There's going to be a lot of great teams there - four from the top 25 in the country." head coach Mark Booras said. It's going to be great competition once again. We had a tough weekend last weekend, but I think we gained a lot of valuable experience. I think we're ready to put things into practice now and hopefully, we'll have a strong showing this weekend."

The Tournament will feature five singles draws and a pair of doubles draws and begins Friday at Alabama's 12-court Tennis Stadium.

The Green Wave are coming off a difficult weekend at the Wilson/ITA Southern Region Championships, which Tulane hosted at Goldring Tennis Complex last weekend. The young Wave posted a 5-10 singles record, with a 1-3 doubles mark.

Sophomore Shaye Wali and freshmen Chris Somers and Joe Young each posted a 1-1 record for Tulane at the Wilson/ITA Southern Region Championships, while Wali teamed with Coby Kramer-Golinkoff to split a pair of doubles matches.

For the fall campaign, freshman Adam Bernstein leads the Green Wave with a 4-3 overall record. The tandem of Wali and KramerGolinkoff own a 4-1 doubles mark in fall competition.

The draw for the Alabama Crimson Tide Invitational will be announced Thursday night.
