Men's Tennis Duo Tabbed 66th in Final ITA Rankings

NEW ORLEANS - The Tulane men's tennis duo of Dominik Koepfer and Jao Chi-Shan received a final ranking of 66th by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), it was released on Tuesday afternoon.

The pair posted a 16-6 dual match record during the spring, earned first-team All-Conference USA and collected a 4-1 mark in conference matches. Koepfer and Chi-Shan also won three matches over ranked opponents during the spring, including wins over then-No. 29 Roberto Cid and Sasha Gozen of USF and then-No. 29 Joel Rubio and Tomas Stillman on UTSA.

"Dominik and Jao had a bunch of good wins this year and were a very solid team for us throughout the year," Tulane head coach Mark Booras said. "It's nice to see them get some more recognition for their efforts."

The pair was ranked as high as 37th during the spring season and help guide the Green Wave to a 15-9 record and a final ranking of 65th.

Individually, the tandem pulled in some accolades as well. Koepfer was named second-team All-Conference USA and first-team All-Louisiana, while Chi-Shan was named the Louisiana and C-USA Freshman of the Year and was tabbed first-team All-Louisiana.
