The Furtwangen, Germany, native won 14 straight singles matches to begin the spring season and didn't lose until March 24. He posted a perfect 8-0 record on court three before closing out the season on courts one and two with a 6-4 record.

In doubles, Koepfer and Mark paired up and won nine straight matches during the spring and helped Tulane win 14 of the 20 doubles points.
