TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The 61st-ranked Tulane men's tennis closes out the regular season on Friday with a dual match against No. 333 Alabama at 10 a.m. CT at the Alabama Tennis Stadium.
The Green Wave (13-7, 3-2 C-USA) wrapped up the home portion of the schedule on Wednesday with a 4-0 loss to No. 57 LSU, while Alabama (11-12, 4-6 SEC) fell at Texas A&M, 4-0, last Friday.
"This is a great way to end our season against a very good Alabama team," Tulane head coach Mark Booras said. "This will be a good tune up for our conference tournament. Alabama is another strong team so we are looking forward to the challenge."
Tulane is led by the 36th-ranked doubles team of Dominik Koepfer and Jao Chi-Shan with a 15-4 dual match record. Koepfer also leads the Green Wave in singles with a 15-4 mark, while Chi-Shan is 14-4 and has won five straight matches. Ian Van Cott also owns a 14-4 singles record.
Alabama is led by Daniil Proskura and Becker O'Shaughnessey. Proskura, the 25th-ranked singles player in the nation, is 16-6 overall and 8-4 in dual matches, while O'Shaughnessey is ranked 98th in the nation with a 9-10 dual match record. The pair also team up in doubles as the 22nd-ranked duo and are 6-4 in dual matches.
The Green Wave will next travel to Tulsa, Okla., for the Conference USA Championships that gets underway next Thursday.
